PHOTO GUIDE

How to download a photo slideshow

Save accessible images from an authorized post in one ZIP file.

When can you download a photo slideshow?

Some public posts contain a sequence of photos rather than one video. You can save accessible images if you have permission to use the material. Public availability alone does not grant a license.

Copy the correct link

Use the share menu on the specific photo post. Links to accounts and private publications are not supported. TapTik accepts one public post at a time.

Create the ZIP

Paste the URL in the download tool, confirm your permission and request the post’s images. When accessible, the photos will be packaged into a ZIP file with numbered filenames.

Open the file on your device

On a phone, use the Files app or an archive tool to extract the ZIP. On macOS or Windows, open the ZIP to see the image files. Missing or restricted images cannot be recreated.

Preserve attribution

Keep track of the original creator, license and project. If you intend to publish or advertise using the images, make sure your authorization covers that specific use.

Example: back up your own photo carousel

Suppose you published a step-by-step carousel with five photos and want copies for your personal archive. Open that specific public photo post, copy its link, and enter it in the tool. After the post is analyzed, select the photo option. The service packages the image files into one ZIP archive, so you do not need to download every slide separately. The number of files depends on which media the source actually makes available.

Opening the ZIP on different devices

On iPhone, locate the ZIP in the Files app and tap it to create an extracted folder. On Android, open Downloads in your file manager and use its Extract option. On Windows, right-click the archive and choose Extract All. On macOS, double-click the ZIP to unpack it. Check the extracted images before deleting the archive, particularly if you intend to use them in an editing project.

What if a photo is missing or looks blurry?

First verify that you pasted a photo-post URL rather than a video link or profile address. If an original image is unavailable, the tool cannot recreate it. Social platforms often compress uploads, so downloaded images may be smaller than the files you originally captured. For the best-quality backup, keep the camera originals as well as any exported carousel.

Keeping your collection organized

Rename the downloaded folder with a date and project description. If you have permission to republish, document the source and any required credit separately. Public access does not automatically grant permission to reuse someone else's photos for advertising. If you need help with a video post instead, read the video guide. For quality expectations, see the formats and watermark guide.
